Second Tattoo: Curiouser and Curiouser

After obsessing about it for more than a year, I finally had my second tattoo done. :) I went to 55 Tinta with Obie and Emil so we can go on a food trip around Maginhawa Street after. We almost never go there so we wanted to take advantage of the situation.

Uhm, excuse the unladylike posture.

So what did I get? I got the quote "curiouser and curiouser" from Alice's Adventures in Wonderland.

"’Curiouser and curiouser!’ Cried Alice (she was so much surprised, that for the moment she quite forgot how to speak good English). ’Now I’m opening out like the largest telescope that ever was! Good-bye, feet!’ (for when she looked down at her feet they seemed to be almost out of sight, they were getting so far off)."


I chose this particular line because at the beginning of this year, I found myself wanting to learn so many things. I suddenly realized there are a ton of things that I want to know and I want to learn all of them. I'm going back to school actually, and I plan on learning a new language after that course. I also took a vow of reading 100 books this year.

I want to propel myself into strange new ideas and experiences and maybe while I do that, I'll stumble on something grand and amazing.

My first tattoo didn't hurt at all. Just a mild stinging sensation but that's it. This time it hurt like a BITCH when it got to the middle part of my chest. Right there on my sternum. I was told that it does hurt there because it's so close to the bone. I had to squeeze my two hands to endure it but it was far from the pain I'd cry over.

I'll have to take better photos of it sometime. But I really like it! I purposefully put that a bit deeper into my chest because I plan on covering my shoulder up to a quarter-sleeve with this beautiful artwork of Delirium for my third (and last?) tattoo.

It will probably take me another year to get that done. :))
